The OTHM Level 8 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice is an advanced professional qualification regulated by Ofqual and positioned at Level 8 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). It is designed for experienced managers seeking stronger strategic leadership, analytical judgment, and research capability to support strategy implementation and organizational performance.

The qualification comprises 180 credits: five mandatory Level 8 units totaling 120 credits and three selected Level 7 optional units totaling 60 credits. This structure combines advanced strategic management and research preparation with focused professional study.

Mandatory study covers strategic management and leadership, strategic change, project development and management, advanced research design and methodologies, and research capability. Optional study provides focused development in governance, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, human resources, or supply chain and operations, according to the selected units.

Learners who satisfy all qualification and verification requirements are eligible for the diploma awarded by OTHM Qualifications. Completion may support applications for DBA, DProf, or PhD study, subject to the receiving university’s admission and research requirements.
